Life Is Good

This is Carina, another friend of mine.

I did a portrait of her once with pencils on paper as a birthday present. But since I was sort of in a hurry I did it rather quickly and sloppily so the result was not very good. I promised to draw her again... well that was two years ago now, but finally I got down to do this.

Wacom and PS all the way, photo ref used though I changed the background into a crop field. Spent around 6 hours on this because I just couldn't get her face right! I'm still not 100% satisfied with it... Trust me she's much prettier in real life..
Is it just me or did I make her smile come off a little... creepy?

Anyways this was also some kinda lighting study for me.
